The 13th Annual Logistics Congress on the topic of "Optimization potential in the supply chain" will be taking place on April 17 and 18, 2007 in Cologne. Experts from trade, industry and the service sector will be presenting information on how companies can achieve and defend their competitive advantage through more efficient logistics processes.
Subjects such as intra-logistics in trade, retail distribution and tracking of empty packaging are on the agenda. A representative of the METRO Group will be reporting on logistical challenges in the Far East: the retailing group’s "Advanced Logistics Asia" program will be presented, which has been set up to test the application of radio frequency identification (RFID) in worldwide merchandise movement.
