1. How do I benefit from using the Metro Link supplier portal?
The supplier portal Metro Link is the central online platform of the METRO Group. It pools all applications which you are already working with in one user-friendly interface. You only have to register once and have access to all applications you are authorized for. Metro Link also provides you with latest METRO Group news and information – at a click. If you should have any questions or problems simply contact the central support team.
2. Is there a charge for using the Metro Link supplier portal?
Access to the supplier portal is free-of-charge. Costs are only incurred if special applications such as Metro Data Warehouse are used.
3. Which applications are available?
Metro Link is starting with the central applications Metro Data Warehouse (MDW), Metro Merchandise System - Catalog (MMS-CAT), Metro EDI Center (MEC) and Collaboration workspaces.
4. Can I get trial access?
The public part of Metro Link is always at your disposal. If you would like to access Metro Data Warehouse you can use free and non-committal test access for three months. You can then opt for standard access. Trial access is limited to one participant per company. Trial access is limited to one participant per company. 5. Which technology does the supplier portal use?
The portal itself is based on SAP Netweaver. The applications which are integrated into the portal are based on other technologies such as Micro Strategy or Oracle.
6. Do I have to log-in every time I access the supplier portal?
No. The Metro Link supplier portal has a public area which you can use without logging-in. Only if you would like to use applications or information which are not open to the public you have to log-in.
7. Which systems requirements does my computer have to fulfil so I can use the Metro Link supplier portal without any problems?
Metro Link Internet pages are optimized for the Microsoft browser Internet Explorer 6 and a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Acrobat Reader should be installed so you can read PDF documents.
8. Can I access Metro Link around the clock or are there limitations?
Metro Link is generally available around the clock. There are no regular maintenance times. There may however be unscheduled maintenance work in urgent cases. These may limit access to the page. Individual applications which are embedded in Metro Link have specific access times.
9. How can I get access to non-public applications such as Metro Data Warehouse?

11. Can I still access individual applications or do I always have to use the supplier portal?
In the future all collaborative applications are going to be integrated into the Metro Link supplier portal. After logging-in on the start page you can then access applications.
