Which Master Data Standardization Projects has the METRO Group Conducted?
Kraft Foods is one of the first international brand manufacturers with whom the METRO Group has synchronized its master data. In a joint project pdf (525 KB, only available in German) in 2002, the business partners and SA2 Worldsync members METRO Group and Kraft Foods harmonized all jointly used product master data within nine months using the data pool SA2 Worldsync (www.sa2.com). The result of this training: The harmonization of master data can be managed within 30 days. The alignment process itself, as well as Kraft Foods´ regular data updates, ensures that these partners work with 100% consistent data records. METRO Group has gained a lot of valuable experience from this pilot project with Kraft Foods.

METRO Group has also initiated a joint price transmission project pdf (423 KB, only available in German) with Henkel. Further tests are running with some other partners for example with the textile section of Galeria Kaufhof.
